Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions for Army Air and Missile Defense, Aviation, and MDA software applications. You will work alongside senior engineers and developers to support system and software engineering initiatives that drive technology innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain software applications using JavaScript and Node.js.
Assist in the creation of interactive geospatial visualizations and mapping applications.
Support the design and implementation of frontend GUIs using modern web technologies.
Contribute to building backend systems with robust business logic and network interfaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
Contribute to modeling and simulation projects.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, including potential AI applications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
0-2 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js development.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/GitLab.
Understanding of Agile development processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Cesium.js or similar 3D/mapping engines.
Experience with geospatial data visualization or processing.
Exposure to AI, machine learning concepts, or neural networks.
Experience in modeling and simulation applications.
Previous exposure to scientific or engineering software development.
